The Preparation Package

 The Preparation Package $650 

(Ideal for rising juniors) 

After an in depth meeting with parents and students, I will establish a fully personalized college admissions strategy and timeline.  Services included in the Preparation Package include, but are not limited to the following:

• We will explore areas of study based on students interests and career goals.
• Based on information gained in our initial meeting, the students academic profile, and results from the student questionnaire, I will develop an initial, well balanced college list. A well-developed college list is the most essential piece of a successful college search. Together, we will refine the list over time to give the student a solid base from which to work from as they create their final list in the fall of Senior year..
• I will support and advise students in deciding when to submit applications, the difference between each round and the pros and cons of ED/EA/RD.
• I will develop a Standardized Testing Plan based on admissions goals and discuss test preparation to maximize scores.  I will consult on the current landscape of “Test Optional” admissions and potential implications of choosing to submit or not submit scores to colleges. 
• I will provide students with tips and recommendations on College visits, including what to look for and when to go.
• I will advise on pre-college program opportunities, internships, and service opportunities to consider in preparation of building a personalized, well balanced resume.  
• I will consult on NCAA College recruiting planning and educate prospective student athletes on the recruiting process, guidelines, and requirements, if applicable.
• Together, we will brainstorm topics and strategize approaches for the CommonApp essay.  I will educate students on what admissions counselors look for in an essay, and tips for crafting an impactful essay that will be remembered.
• The Preparation Package concludes with my support and assistance in creating the students Common Application profile.  Students will then be prepared and able to begin their process of applying to college.

The College Application Package $850

(Reserved for rising seniors)

After an in depth meeting with parents and students, I will develop a well thought out plan for the students application process, including a timeline and deadlines to meet that will culminate in the successful and timely completion of college applications.  Services offered with the College Application Package include but are not limited to the following:

• We will create a well crafted resume that shines a light on the student’s accomplishments, recognitions and experiences
• I will advise on the role demonstrated interest plays in college admissions and how best to navigate that
• I will offer guidance with college visits, including tips on what to look for and when to go
• I will assist the student with finalizing their common app essay
• I will assist the student with navigating the Common Application 
• I will assist the student in completing their SRAR for requiring schools
• I will provide college interview preparations, including mock interviews and feedback
• I will manage the overall application process for the student, ensuring that all deadlines are met.  A bi-weekly email from me with reminders and information will aid in this process.
• I will offer guidance on completing the FAFSA and CSS profile
• I will maximize financial aid opportunities by identifying scholarships appropriate for the student based on criteria
• I will advise on admission decisions of “deferred” and “waitlisted”, explain the difference between them and how the student should proceed when receiving either of these letters.
• I will consult in the process of weighing letters of acceptance and provide an objective perspective when deciding between multiple schools
